Our family plans a special trip every year to build memories together. This time, thanks to my husband's refresh leave, we had the opportunity to take a long vacation. Actively reflecting the kids' opinions, we decided on an English-speaking country rather than Southeast Asia. The children wanted to make new friends in an English-speaking country and experience a different culture and environment firsthand. Their enthusiastic requests presented our family with a new challenge, and we eventually planned a one-month stay in Sydney, Australia.
Why We Chose Sydney, Australia
One of the biggest reasons we chose Sydney, Australia was the rich educational opportunities and natural environment. Sydney has many globally recognized language study programs, making it a suitable place for kids to improve their English skills. In particular, we expected they would naturally develop a global perspective by meeting peers from various countries at the language school.
Also, the variety of activities that can be experienced as a family was appealing. We thought the beautiful beaches, rich cultural heritage, and diverse outdoor activities would be enough to provide new stimuli for the kids. We believed that not only learning English, but also building new experiences in nature would deepen our family's bond.
Main Purpose of This Trip
The purpose of this trip goes beyond simple sightseeing; it's about the kids building confidence in English, interacting with friends from other countries, and learning cultural diversity. Also, the goal is to give our family the opportunity to break away from our daily routine and grow together in a new environment. During our month in Australia, we hope our family can learn more within our respective roles and spend time becoming a greater source of strength for each other.
